How to trigger a scene with Alexa
Do you have a scene you use every day? Good News! You can use Alexa to turn on that scene.

Discover Scenes
Amazon’s ‘Scene’ tab can store your existing Scenes. You have to discover scenes in order for them to be added to the collection.
How to add scenes to the collection:
- Go to the Alexa App
- Click the Menu button
- Select ‘Smart Home’:
- Click ‘Scenes’
- Click ‘Discover’
Alexa will now scan your network for any scenes on your Ezlo controller. They will automatically be added to the ‘Scenes’ tab.
Note: You need to install the Alexa Skill in order to discover scenes. Also, the scenes need to be added to the list of controllable devices. You can learn how to do this with our Alexa Guide
How to turn on Scenes using Alexa:
In your Amazon ‘Scenes’ tab, all Ezlo scenes will be listed by name. The scene will execute If you signal Alexa then say a scene name.
For example, you can say “Alexa, turn on Outside Lights,” to trigger a scene called ‘Outside Lights’ which turns those lights on and off,
Note: If you have scenes that work in multiple rooms, adjust the command to include the name of the room. Example: “Alexa, turn on Bedroom Thermostat”
